However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with John:

I have never seen John S. Wiseman's middle name. But, it seems to be a good chance that his middle name was "Samuel". As Samuel occurs in several descendants of his. His headstone has 3 mistakes on it. His Obit has his birth to be 1817 but I have a record that Daniel Wiseman atests to his age to be 21 last March 7 in 1837, that would make his birth to be 1816. Mistake # 2 is his father is only Daniel Wiseman not Daniel M. Wiseman. The 3rd mistake is that the engravers put Benjamin's name in all CAPS. I published an article in the Quill on the 2 Daniels and the 3 Thomas Wiseman. Thomas Wiseman (born 1750) and wife Agnes died in Edgefield County in Oct 1825. Thomas and son Daniel never lived outside of Edgefield County. The other 2 Thomas Wiseman is Thomas Wiseman son of William Edward Wiseman born 1863 in Avery County, NC and the 3rd Thomas Wiseman is Thomas Wiseman born in England 1750-1753. He married Abigail McIntyre in MA and they moved to Gainesville, NY and had a large family. this Thomas Wiseman served the British for awhile in the Rev War. Records from the Sec of War states this Thomas Wiseman had no record of serving as a Patriot in the War.

Daniel Wiseman had 6 boys and 2 girls. They are Thomas, born abt 1812 (probably died as a young man before Thomas and Agnes died); Judge William Crawford born 1815 (had 2 wives) ; John S. born 1816 (had 3 wives); Elijiah Abner; Simeon (never found his middle name); and James M. died in prison in Ill during civil war. 2 girls are Elizabeth, I believe she married a Mart and they moved to Iowa and the other girl us still unknown to me. As a side note James Daniel Wiseman, son of Judge William Crawford and Lavica M. Watkins, left home in Crockett, Texas and went to Iowa as a James Wiseman is listed with Aunt Elizabeth then he left there to go back to Edgefied and there he married Elizabeth Burnett and they had 5 children. James Daniel has not been found since the last child was born. He may have gone to CA to see his father W.C. Wiseman as W. C. died in Aug of 1875 in San Bernardino, CA. Now for a last comment: James Daniel had a son James Daniel Wiseman Jr. who never married and in 1899 in Augusta, GA killed a Deputy sheriff and the trial of century insued. He was acquitted after a long trial. He became a beloved fireman in Augusta. He is buried in his brother's (Stephen F. Wiseman) plot in the Westover Memorial Cemetery along with his mother and Stephen and his wife and 4 girls. Bill Wiseman 3-2-23
