Biography

There were two William Wisemans in Little Bay Islands: one of whom had three sons: Fred, Job, and Philip. The other was this William, the son of James who moved to Little Bay Islands from Herring Neck,[1] and was grandfather to the Wisemans of Port Anson. He seems to have been married twice (assuming Eli is his son, as seems likely). He married Susanna Nalton, ca 1863, who was also widowed.[1]. Note that Phillip (the son of the other William Wiseman) seems to have a mother named Susannah as well, and it's unclear whether these families have gotten mixed up.
