Thanks for your note, Rick. FamilySearch does not currently have a method to export a GEDCOM file which can be uploaded for use with the GEDCOMpare process. (FamilySearch explanation https://www.familysearch.org/wiki/en/Talk:GEDCOM)

There is a WikiTree Tool that I use (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:WikiTree_X) which will let you added and update profiles and sources. You might give that a try.

Hi there! My name is Vicky (Freeth) Majewski and I am a WikiTree Mentor.

This is just a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going. Are you enjoying WikiTree so far? Any questions? Any issues?

Feel free to contact me via my profile page. I am happy to help!

Hi Rick,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I am checking in to see how it is going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had time to look, were they helpful?

I'm here to help with questions about how WikiTree works. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

Debi ~ WikiGreeter

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.

PPS The tags on your profile can be clickable links to pages of other people who have those tags. That won't work if all the surnames are in the comment. You can add up to 20 total.

P.S. Just a small suggestion - you might want to a few more tags for all the names and places you're researching. Tags create search links, and when you click on them, you can see all the other people who are researching the same things.

To edit or add more tags, head to the "Add" drop-down menu, then "Followed Tags"

Otherwise, welcome and enjoy WikiTree!  :)

Thanks for volunteering!

You are now an active member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family.

I recommend starting with our New Member How-To pages. They will save you time, energy and frustration as you create your family profiles.

Need help? Just ask!

Above all, have FUN!  :) I hope you enjoy WikiTree as much as I have!

Kind regards,

Vicky Majewski ~ WikiTree Greeter & Member since August 2015

P.S. If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.
