When David Wismer and his twin sister Susan were born in 1768 in Bucks, Pennsylvania, their father, Mark, was 31, and their mother, Elizabeth, was 28. He married Lydia Everett in 1793 in his hometown. They had nine children in 26 years. He died on August 11, 1856, in Markham, Ontario, Canada, having lived a long life of 88 years, and was buried there.
