Mary E. Witt Bruce was born to Bailey and Priscilla Witt, the third of five children.

She married Harvey Shepherd Bruce, a widower with four children, in 1888. Together they had three daughters, the middle daughter being my Great Grandmother.

Mary passed away at 33 years old, within a year of her youngest child's birth, on April 1st, 1895. Cause of death is yet unknown to me.
