Hi Doug,

Thank you for self-certifying for the Pre-1700 badge! Collaboration with Pre-1700 Project members is essential for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles because those ancestors are usually shared by many descendants.

It looks like the German Roots Project would be a good fit based your paternal branch of WikiTree. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Do you have any questions? Let me know. I'm happy to help! :-)

Hello Doug,

Thank you for volunteering to help grow our World Wide Family Tree! You are now a member of the WikiTree Community. Please note we are trying to build one Collaborative Tree with one profile per person, so it is important to ensure no duplicates are entered as you add any Profiles to WikiTree. Everything on the site is a collaborative work in progress so don’t forget to read and sign our Honor Code. (http://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Special:Honor_Code) This is what keeps WikiTree a polite, friendly and helpful community. We have many hospitable, enthusiastic members from all over the world, so always feel free to ask if you have any questions. I hope you have a wonderful experience on our site, Don

I've been researching now for over 35 yrs. In 2003, I published a genealogy of my grandmother's family, the Wallace Family. Since then I've done extensive research (online, in the Allen County [Indiana] Library and on-site into other branches of my family.
