James Waring Wolfe was born on September 13, 1862, in Salt Creek, Holmes, OH, to Bostion Wolfe and Elizabeth Cotton. He was married three times and had four sons and five daughters. He died on May 21, 1937, in Barry County, Michigan, at the age of 74, and was buried in Carlton, Michigan.
