Biography
Katharina was born before 1831 (estimate = possible age at marriage in 1848 minus 18 years). Katharina Wolff ... She passed away before 1850; during the sea voyage to immigrate to USA.
She had a brother and his wife on that same voyage.
On the same census sheet for the 1870 US Census (for Adam Maurer), a Phillip Wolf and family is listed. Wolf was the birth surname of his first wife; this may be her brother, since her brother and his wife made the same voyage with Adam? It would be probably useful to track down that ship manifest to see all the passengers since probably many were related to Adam and from the same area of Hesse-Darmstadt.
