Biography

Mahala is not the daughter of Jesse Womack and Sarah Daniel, so she has been removed from that family.

Mahala was born about 1827 in Adair County, Kentucky. She is the daughter of Jesse Womack (b c 1795, Virginia) and Delila Blair (b c 1803, North Carolina).^[1]

Mahala married Alexander Thompson [Thomason] 10 December 1853 in Adair County, Kentucky.^[2][3] They had at least three children: James W Thompson (b c 1854, Kentucky), Sarah E Thompson (b c 1856, Kentucky) and Jessee Thompson (son b c 1859, Kentucky). It appears as if Mahala's husband, Alexander, passed away about 1858/1859. Mahala and her children are living with her parents on the 1860 census in Adair County, Kentucky.^[4] Mahala may have remarried. If so, second husband not yet found.
