Biography

John B. Womack, son of Abner Womack and Mary Hand, was born 22 April 1839 in Warren County, Tennessee. He was killed in battle 30 November 1864 at Franklin, Williamson County, Tennessee. John was a soldier in the C.S.A. Company E., 16th Regiment, Tennessee Infantry. He is buried in McGavock Confederate Cemetery, Williamson County, Tennessee,
