Biography
There is great confusion in regard to the family history and identity of Edmond Womble. Some profiles on Ancestry.com have him fathering almost 20 children with three wives. There is confusion as to his identity. Some refer to him as Jessie Edmond others refer to him as Edmond D. Both names appear to be connected to the same parents and have the same birth and death dates. It also appears from those family histories that he would have been married to two different women at the same time. Which rabbit path is the true path?
Edmond D Womble served as a Private in Company C of the 53rd Regiment Alabama Cavalry (Partisan Rangers) during the American Civil War.
