Biography

Joseph was born on 25 December 1724 in Mansfield, Hartford, Connecticut. The record lists his parents as Samuel and Jane Wood.[1] "Joseph son of Samuel & w. baptized Dec 27 1724". [2]

Joseph married Ann Palmer on 26 September 1751 in Mansfield, Windham, Connecticut.[3]

Joseph died about 1798.[4]

Capt. Joseph Wood was a Revolutionary soldier.

Grave Inscription: "He was one of the first planters in town; was respected in life and at death much lamented by his acquaintance and friends. Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord. Henceforth they rest from their labours. To die is gain."

The birth reference say parents are Samuel and Jane Wood. May be connected to the wrong father.

Looks like : Samuel Wood (1692-1742) would be correct since he died in Mansfield. Mother would be: Jane (Dudley) Wood (abt.1700-abt.1750)

Wood-18068 and Wood-10169 appear to represent the same person because: Dates match. No other info on Wood-10169, and no sources on either profile.
