This man cannot be in two places at once - marrying two women in 1854, one in Hollingbourn, Kent, and one in Georgia US!
It is almost certain that this John Wood did not emigrate to US - although no death has been found he was still living inHerne with his wife Harriet in 1891, recorded as being born in Smarden. FamilySearch
