Biography

John Wood was the second husband of Abigail (Fish) Wood (1760-1851) (her first husband, Luke Perkins, had died in the Fort Griswold Massacre, 6 Sep 1781) [1],[2].

Two children of this family are documented:

Capt. John Wood died 19 Apr 1832 at New London, Connecticut. His grave is in Ledyard Center Cemetery, Ledyard, New London County, Connecticut, USA [4]. The grave marker is inscribed Aged 73 years, hence he was born in 1758 to early 1759.
