Biography

Leader of a shortlived religious movement in Vermont that might be considered Millenarian.

From Norwich, CT. Believed to be the author of a "false religion... sustained and enabled to become what it did by delusion." In 1800, they were the most numerous family in town. In Middletown in 1801.

Nathaniel is the son of Ebenezer and Mary (Rudd) Wood.[1] He married Miriam Eastman. Among their children are:

  • Ephraim, b. 20 Nov 1755
  • Miriam, b. 23 Apr 1760
  • Solomon, b. 31 Mar 1762
  • Hannah, b. 05 Mar 1764
  • Nathaniel, b. 05 Dec 1766
  • Ebenezer, b. 17 Sep 1771

Nathaniel was buried at Woodville Cemetery, Woodville, Jefferson County, New York, United States.[2]
