Biography

Anne Wood was the daughter of Christopher Wood alias Cooke.[1][2]

There is no record for her date of birth. Based on her children's birth dates, she was probably born before about 1560 (in England). (Some unsourced profiles have listed Guilford, Surrey, England as place of birth, but no basis provided for this.)

She married Robert Dudley, son and heir of John Dudley of Newcastle and his wife, an unnamed daughter of William Carr.[1][2]

Their children were:[1][2]

Child: Robert Dudley
Child: Henry Dudley
Child: Ambrose Dudley, had son Toby born 1597
Child: Edward Dudley, baptized and died in 1584
Child: Dorothy Dudley, baptized 1595

He was buried on 7 May 1613.[2] Her date of death is not known but would be after 1584 when son Edward was baptized, and after 1595 when daughter Dorothy was baptized, assuming they were baptized while infants. (Some unsourced profiles suggest she died in 1580.)

Wood-22850 and Wood-704 appear to represent the same person because: Same name, same husband

If dates are correct (died 1580) her son Robert Jr. was born 1584 and her daughter Elizabeth in 1605. I see Virginia (Ghee) Mullaney has noticed this as well.

Dates all wrong. Has children being born after death of mother. This info needs a lot of new and correct research or maybe eliminated completely.
Wood-11422 and Wood-704 appear to represent the same person because: from son's name of Robert Jr, and dates are similar.

Wood-3909 and Wood-704 appear to represent the same person because: Duplicate. Fix dates, merge and adopt.
