Biography

Anne Wood was the daughter of Christopher Wood alias Cooke.^[1][2]

There is no record for her date of birth. Based on her children's birth dates, she was probably born before about 1560 (in England). (Some unsourced profiles have listed Guilford, Surrey, England as place of birth, but no basis provided for this.)

She married Robert Dudley, son and heir of John Dudley of Newcastle and his wife, an unnamed daughter of William Carr.^[1][2]
