My name is Shelia Janet Wood Rayborn. I am fairly new to geneology work. I retired from teaching several years ago and found a family geneology notebook that my dad's youngest brother had given him. I have used this information plus information on Ancestry.com to try to locate family members on my dad's side of the family. I have been able to find several Second cousins and actually meet and visit with them. My uncle did a great job with the information he had. He was able to get much of his information from older ancestors that he visited and recorded their information.

I have not taken a DNA TEST, but my oldest male Wood cousin did take a DNA TEST for Ethnicy. It was taken with Ancestry .com. I have access to his information and will be glad to share through private message.

I am planning to order a detailed DNA test to get more information about my Wood Family line. There are many Wood lines and I need to be sure I am following the right line. I am trying to make a decision as to the best DNA TEST for the most beneficial information.

I do not mind sharing information or helping anyone. However, at this time I am definitely in the learning stage myself and am always very thankful for help and support.
