Thomas was born in 1810. Thomas Wood ... He passed away in 1899. 1862 Thomas and Jane Wood, their children (married and unmarried) and their grandchildren lived, worked and died in and around Bellingen (Boat Harbour), including Urunga, Repton, Raleigh, Fernmount, Kalang River (south Arm of the Belinger River), Spicketts Creek, Brierfield, Never Never, Thora and others. 1863 John Wood raced (and beat) George Tyson to the lands office at Kempsey, 100km away, to be the first person to claim land at Fernmount. He later sold his claim to George Tyson. 1881 Application lodged for a school "County: Raleigh, Parish: South Bellingen, Post Town: Fernmount". Applicants (descendants of Thomas and Jane Wood) - John Wood (3 children), Joseph Cook (5 children), Thomas Wood (4 children), Oliver Spencer (6 children). Other applicants Thos. Brownlee (3) ?
