SPANGLER, MARTHA WEBB - age 76, a resident of Greywood Crossing, Knoxville, formerly of Lenoir City, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at the Ft. Sanders Parkwest Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lenoir City where she worked in the nursery for 15 years. Martha retired from the Lenoir City Utilities Board after 18 years service. She served as a volunteer at Ft. Sanders Parkwest Hospital for several years. Preceded in death by parents, Steve Wood, Sr. and Essie Carson Wood brother, Steve Wood, Jr. brother and sister in law, Max and Betty Wood father of her children, Hoyt Webb. She is survived by her husband, Donald E. Spangler son and daughter in law, Rev. Bill and Sharon Webb of Dallas, TX daughter and son in law, Susan and Steve Moore of Knoxville grandchildren, Shawn Webb, Ryan Jones and Courtney Jones four step children, Donnie Spangler, Brenda Rhea, Patricia Mize-Redding and Sally Fish eight step grandchildren seven step great grandchildren brother, Quay Wood of Tucson, Ariz. sister in law, Jean Wood of Etowah several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Click Funeral Home in Lenoir City. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church, Lenoir City with Rev. Dick DeMerchant, Rev. Bill Webb and Rev. Bill Wilkinson officiating. A private interment will be held in the Lakeview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church Building Fund, 2085 Simpson Rd. East, Lenoir City, Tenn. 37772.
