Richard, son of Brian Herman Wood and Elizabeth Schmuck, was born in Bremerton, Washington on 28 March 1946. He was a twin and his brother was Robin. They also had an older sister. In the 1950 census, Richard (age 4) was the grandson of E. A. Schmuck in Clallam, Washington, United States.[1]
After high school, Richard served as an electrician in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.[2].[3] After his time in the service he moved to New Mexico. Richard died on 23 November 1972 in a car accident in Albuquerque, New Mexico.[4][5] He was buried in Ivy Green Cemetery in Bremerton, Washington.[6]
