Central Kentucky News-Journal, April 17, 1980
Mrs. Lula Franklin Pike, 97, died Wednesday, April 9, at Taylor County Hospital. Mrs. Pike was the daughter of the late William Gibbs Wood and Adeline Harding Wood. She was a native of Taylor County and was born on October 1, 1882. :Funeral services for Mrs. Pike were held at the Lyon Funeral Home Chapel at 10 a.m. on Friday, April 11. 1980 Interment followed in the Green River Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. James I. Davis conducted the service.
Mrs. Pike is survived by two sons: Eugene Debs Pike of 701 Lebanon Ave., Campbellsville, and Abner Pike of Crestwood, Ky.; one daughter: Mrs. Prudence Rucker of Louisville; one step-daughter: Miss Elva Pike of Campbellsville; also six grandsons and nine great-grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers were Jerry L. Pike, Kenneth W. Pike, Rickey Pike, Reggie O. Pike, Charles Mark Pike, and William Gibbs Pike II.
