Biography

Some say that Lashley Levi Wood fought in the Revolutionary War with the rank of Captain.

WOOD, LASHLEY Ancestor #: A128072 Notice: FUTURE APPLICANTS MUST PROVE CORRECT SERVICE (WHY?) Birth: (CIRCA) 1740 EASTERN SHORE MARYLAND Death: (POST) 8-15-1809 LOGAN CO KENTUCKY

He is reportedly buried at the Lashley Wood Cemetery in Logan County, Kentucky. Upon a visit to that cemetery on April 30, 2016, no headstone bearing his name was found. At this cemetery are buried as denoted by a legible headstone: Hugh E. Wood (1888-1915), Mary E. Wood (1855-1919), and John E. Wood (1848-1930). There were several older illegible headstones present.

Lashley was born in 1726. Lashley Wood passed away in 1809. ^[1]
