WOOD.-On September 5, 1940. at Storeys Creek, Norman Hallett Wood, beloved husband of Mabel Maud, and loving father of Kathleen, Molly, and Max, of 4 Bromby St., New Town.[2]
FUNERAL NOTICES WOOD.—The funeral of the late Mr. Norman Hallett Wood will move from his residence, 4 Bromby-street, New Town, on Saturday, the 7th instant, at 10 a.m., for Cornelian Bay Cemetery.—ALEX. CLARK & SON LTD., Funeral Directors, 168- 170 Collins-street, Hobart. Phone 3270.[2]

Obituary

Mr. Norman Wood Mr. Norman Wood died at Storeys Creek on Thursday. A son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Neville Wood, he was born at Naracoote (S.A.), and was educated at St. Peter's Col- lege, and the Adelaide School of Mines. He was employed as assayer at Broken Hill, and later was in charge of the flotation plant at Mt. Lyell. For the past seven years he was metallurgist at the Storeys Creek tin mine. Mr. Wood was secretary of the Storeys Creek Medical Union, and a vice president of the Storeys Creek Athletic Club. The staff and employees of the Storeys Creek mine ceased work to follow the cortege when lt left the town for Hobart, where the burial took place. The pall-bearers were Messrs. E. and L. Egan. D. Griffin, J. Sandon, E. Howell, representing the staff of the Storeys Creek Tin Mining Co.. Mr. J. H. Scott, representing the Australian Workers' Union and Storeys Creek Medical Union, Messrs. J. Turner and R. Egan, representing the metallurgy department, with which Mr. Wood was employed. ! Mr. Wood Is survived by his wife, Misses K. and M. Wood (daughters), and Mr. M. Wood (son). [3]
