Biography from Find a Grave

There is a regular tombstone as well as a Centennial Memorial Stone put up in 1812 showing he was in the War of 1812 in the 5th Reg. of the East TN Militia. The printed transcript of Glenwood Cemetery lists his birth year as 1793.

He married Hannah Alldridge (buried at this cem.); they had the following children: Alfred who married Sylvania Allred (both buried at this cem.); John who married Mary A. Seneth Tillery (both buried at this cem) and Nancy Margaret Worthington; Calvin (buried at this cem.) who married Martha Jane Hall; Robert H. (buried at this cem.) who married Margaret Ann Tillery; Talitha (buried at this cem.) who married John Tunnell; Rufus M. who married Martha M. Conner; Harriet b. 1829 d. 1908 in Fountain City Knox Co., TN, who married Robert Wallace; and Sarah Wood b. 1831.

Clement Wood was the son of Joseph Wood and Sarah McClain Wood (both buried at this cem.); *see his parents' gravesite for more information and his siblings.

Clement was born in 1797. He was the son of Joseph Wood and Sarah McClain. He passed away in 1858. [1]
