Biography

During the 1880 U.S. Census, Louis was 16 years old and living in Lone Rock, Richland County, Wisconsin, USA. He was attending school along with his 12-year old brother Herbert. Louis' father was 38 years old and worked as a laborer. His mother was 35 years old and kept house.

During the 1910 census, Louis (age 46) and Ella (age 47) were living in Spokane with their 21 year old unmarried daughter Jessie and their 15 year old son Clifton.

During the 1920 census, Louis (age 56) and his wife Ella (age 56) were living with their daughter Jessie McHenry and her family. The household included Smith McHenry (son-in-law), a grandson named Donald McHenry, and a servant named Millie Bergerson.
