Jennie was a daughter of W. W. Wooding. She married Robert H. Bell on April 17, 1879 in Haddam, Washington County, Kansas. They had four children in Kansas (Audie, Neoma, Joseph and Georgia), one in California in 1889 (Grace) and the remaining three children (Floyd, Ezra and Burley) were born in Washington. She and Robert were living in Bremerton (Charleston area), Washington, in January 1909. In 1916, she bought a four-grave plot in Ivy Green Cemetery. She, her brother Uriah, her husband and father-in-law are all buried there. She died in Tacoma. She has no obituary in the Bremerton paper. The Tacoma Daily Ledger, 14 April 1934 noted: BELL-Funeral services for Mrs Jennie Bell will be held Saturday at 12:30 pm. at the Mellinger chapel, Rev. E. H. Rubicum presiding;
