Uncertain Existence

Despite extensive searches, there appears to be no contemporary evidence that the wife of Davis Davenport was named Ann Woodruff. There is also no evidence that she is the daughter of John Woodruff. For example, no daughter named Ann is mentioned in his will.[1] There is a daughter Hannah, but she was under 21 years old when he wrote his will on 14 January 1701, so she cannot be the Ann of this profile who was supposedly having children in the early 1680s.

Consequently, this profile has been detached as child of John Woodruff, wife of Davis Davenport and mother of:

Woodruff-2438 and Woodruff-303 appear to represent the same person because: while dates are quite different, husband and some children are the same. No primary sources for any data, needs work, but should not prevent the merge.

If nobody objects, I'll go ahead and detach Anne Woordruff of New York from Davis Davenport and his children from Virginia. There is no evidence to support such a marriage.

Woodruff-868 and Woodruff-303 appear to represent the same person because: Please merge duplicate profiles: same name, same spouse's name, same date of death.
