Abigail Woods was born to Richard and Hannah Woods, August 22, 1715, in Roxbury, Suffolk, Massachusetts.[1]
Need to verify if this is the same Abigail Woods that is shown marrying Elias Trask in 1744.
Also some trees show her as Rider or Ryder. This is documented (in a fashion) by George S. Brown in his corrections to the family of Elias Trask. Brown states Elias married Abigail Ryder daughter of Joseph of Plymouth. The list of children and spouses given match up neatly with those in this profile.
Unfortunately the articles Brown wrote are not in print form. The article referenced can be found at Ancestry here:
As as traveler to Yarmouth and environs I can state that Ryder does not appear on her stone. Benjamin Ryder of Barnstable had a daughter Lydia who married Edward Tinkham. That stone of Lydia Ryder is close by in Rockville. Brown has made numerous errors and I wonder if this is just a red herring. I’m posting this here in the notes in case someone else finds this surname attached to Abigail Woods.
