Looks like the confusion with Samuel has been going on for a number of years. I propose Samuel Woods-468 and Samuel Woods (Jr.)-262 be merged/corrected or ‘something’. Thanks to whomever will meet the challenge.
Elizabeth Patton was married to a different Samuel Woods.

Woods-9278 and Woods-262 do not represent the same person because: The birth and death dates need to be researched.

Woods-9278 and Woods-262 do not represent the same person because: The two marriages (to Elizabeth Patton and Margaret Holmes) don't make sense.

Woods-9278 and Woods-262 appear to represent the same person because: Although the birth and death dates don't match exactly (birth is very close), the mother is the same and the name and other information would appear to point to this being the same person as Woods-262, with some discrepancies in the information. It seems unlikely that the mother would have two junior Samuel Woods within a year of each other, especially since both lived to adulthood.

Removed Elizabeth Patton as spouse. Dates for both marriages were concurrent. Continuing research and if I am in error, will restore all info and connections
