Biography
Robert was born about 1851 in Ireland. He is the son of of James Woods and Mary (Watson) Woods .
Robert travelled over to New Zealand on the Indiana with his family. On the 2nd of August 1858, the "Indiana" set sail from Gravesend, England. The Indiana arrived in Lyttelton Harbour on the 23rd of November 1858.
According to Births, Deaths & Marriages, later in his life Robert married Florence Higgins in 1901.
He was involved with his brothers contracting business "The Woods Bros" - Horseman, ploughman, contracting and horse breeding business.
After that, there is not much information on Robert. His death date is unknown.
