Susan I Chaffin was enumerated as wife of the head of household in Beat 1, Itawamba County, Mississippi for the June 5, United States Census, 1900. She was noted as born December 1855 in Georgia and had been married for twenty years. She was the mother of five children of which all were still living. Also included in the household are head William M Chaffin, son Curtis W Chaffin, son Custer I Chaffin, son Eustis J Chaffin, daughter Eula E Chaffin, daughter Sula M Chaffin and mother Elizabeth D Chaffin as seen in an image of the original census.^[1]
