Iona, you are now a member of WikiTree! Please help us build one Collaborative Global Family Tree, which means only one profile per person. It's important that no duplicates are created and profiles are properly sourced.
Hi, my name is Iona and I am fairly new to genealogy and have been researching my family history seriously for about a year. I have found some fantastic facts that I realise have passed down our gene pool. For instance one of my ancestors was a boiler maker. I like to think of that as an engineer, my son has graduated as an engineer! I've faced brick walls and somehow using common sense have been able to peek round them and gain some knowledge that has helped find other ancestors. An example would be finding an ancestor living with his Mother in Law. Which took me down the female side of that family. I enjoy doing the research and when I'm having trouble with my own bloodline, I've started to research the father of my children. He's from quite an illustrious family we have found!
