William Woods was born about 1814 in Essex, England.
William Woods, a shoemaker, was convicted for "House Breaking" on 15 October 1832 and sentenced to life at Essex, Colchester Quarter Session. He was transport to Australia on the vessel Mangles, arriving in 1833.[1]
William Woods, convict, aged 33, was granted permission to marry Susan Cook, aged 18, on 2 March 1848[2]
William Woods married Susan Cook in 1848 at the St Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Port Macquarie, New South Wales. [3]
In 1850 William was Conditionally Pardoned, it was granted on 10 October 1851. [4]
In the late 1840s / early 1850's the William & Susanna Woods lived in Port Macquarie, New South Wales where their children were born.[5]
He passed away in 1855, aged 40 [6] and was buried at the Parramatta All Saints, Fennell Street, North Parramatta. [7][8]
