Mary Woods married Patrick Cain on 3 June 1838 in Liverpool, St Peter, Lancashire, England. [12][13][14][15][16][17] They were both minors living on Jamaica St. Mary's father was Bernard Woods, Patrick's father was Daniel Cain, both were labourers. [18]
In 1841 Patrick and Mary were with their daughters Sarah and Elizabeth living on Cooper St, Toxteth Park with the Courtney family.
In 1851 Mary was a widow living in Liverpool. She was a grocer and provision dealer. Her cousins Isaac Musgrave and Thomas Sessford[19]
