Mary L. Woods of Breckenridge County, KY (30, b. in Wayne Co., KY, both parents b. in Wayne Co., KY) was to be married at Jas. T.L. Woods (her father's house) 12 May 1878 to blacksmith D.R. Witt (43, b. Hancock Co., KY, both parents b. VA). It was her first marriage and his second.[3]
In 1850 Thomas J.L. Woods (38, farmer, b. KY) was head of household in Wayne County, KY with Charity E. Woods (26, b. KY) and Mary Woods (2, b. KY). The 2 for Mary's age could easily be mistaken for a 21 as it is in the database.
