Biography

Frances was apparently born about 1657, possibly in Queens, Province of New York. Her father is not Nathaniel Woodward of Boston or Ipswich, Massachusetts. Her mother most likely not named Mary or Margaret Jackson. There are many unsourced, unverified family trees that purport this parentage and it has not been proven. Her date of death is uncertain but she died before her husband died because he remarried after her death. What is known, however, is that she was still living in 1700 when a census was taken of the town of Flushing in Queens County.^[1]
