Birth
Elizabeth was born, 15 June 1670, in Taunton, Massachusetts Bay. She is the daughter of a Israel Woodward and Jane Godfrey.Elizabeth [dup. Elezabeth], d. Israell [T.P.R.1sreall], June 15, 1670. [Elizabeth, d. Israell, P.C.R.] [3][4]
Marriage
Jane (Godfrey) Woodward married 2nd to John Cobb, and on 3 January 1726/7 she made a "deed of gift to her children, given to son Israel Woodward and daughter "Elesabeth Taff" (Bristol Co., Mass. Probate Records file Jane Cobb, Taunton 1727).[5] Additional evidence is that Robert and Elizabeth Taft named children Israel and Jane.
