According to the Visitation of Hertfordshire in 1634[1], Martha was the daughter of John Woodward and the sister of Sir John Woodward. She married Henry Farrar of Great Amwell, Hertfordshire, England and, at the time of the Visitation, their children included:
She died in 1640 when she visited her son, Henry's house at Great Amwell from Hoddesdon and was buried on 4 September 1640 in St John the Baptist Churchyard, Great Amwell, Hertfordshire, England.[2]
The date of birth is an estimate based on the fact that four children had been born before 1634.
Information from Foster's pedigrees,[3] which states that
......, dau. of ...... Woodward, of London, died 26 Sept. 1670, aged 72, bd. with her husband at Wisbeach, in the Isle of Ely. Martha didn't die on 26 Sept 1670 as it is misinformation. "her husband at Wisbeach, in the Isle of Ely" is a Henry Ferrour (abt.1590-bef.1672).
