William Smith and Lydia Woodward, both of the parish, were married after banns at St Leonard's, Eynsham, Oxfordshire on 28th December 1812.[2] William signed his own name on the register whilst Lydia could only make her mark with a cross. The witnesses to the marriage were Wm Brain and Sophia Bridgewater.

William was 55 and working as a baker and his wife Lydia was 49. They had both been born in Oxfordshire. No-one else was shown in the household.
1851

William was 66, born in Eynsham and working as a baker. His wife Lydia was 55, gave her occupation as house keeper and was born in Hanborough.
Death
Lydia died in Eynsham in 1856.[5] Her age was given as 65 (although she would have been 63 or 64). She was buried at St Leonard's, Eynsham on 2nd September 1856.[6]
Research Notes
This couple do not appear to have had any children - none in the Hanborough or Eynsham baptism registers.
