Ebenezer Woodward was born on the 25th of March 1751 in Windham, Ct., the son of Ebenezer and Rachael (Meacham) Woodward Sr.

Marching with the troops to White Plains, and subsequently into New Jersey, it took part in the Battles of Trenton, Dec. 25, 1776 and Princeton, Jan. 3, 1777, and encamped with Washington at Morristown, NJ until expiration of term, May, 1777.

On March 6, 1783, Ebenezer sold his farm in Windham, Ct. to Phinehas Ford. By July of 1784, Ebenezer purchased #33 Dutch in Royalton.
