Biography

Isaac Woodward was born on 2 Feb 1711 in Canterbury, Windham, Connecticut, son of Richard Woodward (1677 - 1739) and Mary (UNKNOWN) Woodward (1681 - 1725).[1][2]

His siblings were:

  4. Dorcas (Woodward) Armstrong (1716 - 1754)
  5. Noah Woodard (1718 - 1792)

Isaac married Elizabeth Armstrong (1703 - ~1753) on 22 Aug 1732 in Franklin, New London, Connecticut.[3] Their children were:

  1. Peter Woodward (1733 - )
  2. Sarah Woodard (1735 - 1814)
  3. James Woodward (1737 - 1820)
  4. Hannah Woodward (1739 - ~1801).

When he was 44, he married Sibbell Harris,daughter of William Harris and Elizabeth Johnson, on 05 Mar 1754 in Middletown, Connecticut, USA[4].

Issac Woodward lived in Canterbury, Connecticut, USA on 02 Nov 1770[5].

Issac Woodward and Elizabeth Armstrong had the following children:

  1. Sarah Woodard was born on 18 May 1735 in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut, USA. She died on 13 Aug 1814 in Canterbury, Windham, Connecticut, USA. She married William Bond on 25 Sep 1754 in Canterbury, Windham, Connecticut, USA.

Issac Woodward and Sibbell Harris had no children.

Issac died on February 4, 1810 in Middletown, Middlesex, Connecticut, United States aged 100[6] He was buried in Middletown, Middlesex County, Connecticut, United States of America.[7].

With confusion over WikiTree providing no means of entering a double date, I am convinced Isaac's actual birthdate is 2 Feb 1710/11.

Woodward-528 and Woodward-7898 appear to represent the same person because: similar birth and death dates, (birth off by 1 year, though in the biographies they are the same, death off by 10 years but same month and day, probably a typo in a source) same spouse etc.

the children are different, but merging will make the list of children more complete.
