He was a blacksmith when he and Eleanor appeared on the census of 11 Sep. 1850 at Parke County, Indiana.[2] He was a bookkeeper when he and Eleanor appeared on the census of 3 June 1880 at Tuscola, Douglas County, Illinois.[3]
Thomas died on 6 Nov. 1883 probably in Tuscola and was buried at Tuscola Township Cemetery, Tuscola, Douglas County, Illinois. His memorial has a photo of his headstone, biographical material and links to those of family members.[1]
