Louis was born about 1834, son of Aaron Woolf and Julia Phillips.
He was the great grandfather of Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Fraser.
Louis Woolf was a publican in Sandhurst, Victoria.
He married Esther Reubin on 2 February 1859 at the Synagogue in York St, Sydney [1][2] and they had a family of:
1. Julia Woolf (b 1860 Bendigo d 1941 NSW) (married Arthur Joshua Davis see notice Sydney Morning Herald 31/10/1882)
2. Henry Robert Woolf (b 1861 Bendigo d 1951 NSW)
3. Louis Arnold Woolf (b 1863 Otago d 1938 NSW)

Bendigo Advertiser 21 Mar 1863: Many of our readers will be sorry to hear that Mr. Louis Woolf, late of the Albion Hotel, Sandhurst, has died at Dunedin, New Zealand.
He passed away on 4 March 1863, aged 28, at Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand [3] and was interred at the Southern Cemetery, Dunedin City, Otago, New Zealand. [4][5]
