Awfully Sudden Death. — The Mudgee Times states : — The festive gathering of the members of 'the Oddfellows' lodge, at Puttabucca, yesterday, was shadowed by the occurrence of the sudden death of one of the brethren present, named Charles A. Woolley. H -was a young, single man, of about twenty-seven years of age, and for some time past has been working in Mr. Gellatley's coach-factory. Yesterday he was engaged in playing on the drum in the Harmonic Band ; and it was at about four o'clock in the afternoon, while the sports were at their height, that he was suddenly seized with a fit that soon terminated fatally. He was at once assisted by a friend (Mr. Batchelor), and medical assistance was immediately sent for, but when Dr. Cutting promptly arrived upon the ground, the unfortunate young man had been dead some time. His body was conveyed to his late residence, and that an inquest will be held.
