A different James Wooten was born circa 1770 in North Carolina to William (ca. 1750-1793) of Rowan and Halifax County and Frances Bradford, but he died in 1810; therefore, he could not be the same James Wooten as this profile, because this James and his wife Elizabeth were still alive in 1850, besides the fact that he is able to be documented in Edgecombe and then Halifax County, not Sampson County, North Carolina.
Family of Consent
James had at least one son and daughter with Elizabeth Tew. He and his wife lived until at least 1850 in Sampson, North Carolina.[1]
