Besides leaving his loving wife Eunice to grieve their loss, he also left 2 sons at home & 7 married children & many grandchildren.

Alvin is also known on documents as Earl A, Earl E & Alvin Eugene, due to a confusion at work during the Depression.

Alvin took part in the SIT DOWN STRIKE at General Motors in Flint, Mich.

Alvin moved his family to Vassar Rd., what was then referred to as the country, to get his 3 youngest sons out of the bad elements on the Eastside of Flint.

He farmed their 10 acres with the help of his 2 youngest sons, all while building his wife her dream house (he passed away before he got some of the finer details done in the home, but it was beautiful).

It is said that he had a "hot temper"...the stories of his antics would keep you laughing for hours. He was a very loving, fair & honest man.

He was very proud of his English/Scotch heritage.

The 8 graves were purchased by Alvin, the graves belonged to my husband James H. Worden (1934-2008), after his passing they came to me, and I will be buried next to my dear husband. According to my Will the 2 remaining graves will be given to the person I have named in the will.
