Graveside services for James Junior Worden, 73, of Marshall, were held at 2 p.m. today in the Algoma Cemetery South with Minister Bill Lockwood officiating. The family received friends at the Sullivan Funeral Home on Travis Street from 6-8 p.m. Sunday. Mr. Worden died at his residence on March 3, 2000.

Mr. Worden was born Dec. 27, 1926, in Logan, Ohio, to James Forest and Ethel Mae Grove Worden. He attended the public schools in Logan. He married Aurie Lee Perkins on Oct. 10, 1970, at Lake of the Pines. Mr. Worden was a truck driver for Marshall Pottery and Republic Industries in Marshall. He served his country in World War II in the army. He was a member of the V.F.W.

Mr. Worden is survived by his wife, Aurie Lee Worden of Marshall. His stepchildren are Bertha and A. L. Brown of Marshall, Rilla and Louis Woodruff of Marshall, Wilma and Elton Caraway of Georgetown, Delaware, Arvel and Louise Shepard of Mt. Pleasant and Mary Dosier of Marshall.

He has 15 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Mr. Worden's two sisters are Florence Cable and Marjorie Davey both of Logan. Several nieces and nephews also survive him. He was preceded in death by his step-son Jerry Shepard in 1985 and a grandson Tommy Lee Morgan in 1994.

Pallbearers were Wayne Woodruff, Ronnie Hammers, Randy Woodruff, Gerald Caraway, Tommy Morris and Blake Hammers.
