Floyd Worden, 74, town of Buena Vista, died Sunday night at St. Michael's Hospital. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Boston Funeral Home, with the Rev. Paul Nulton officiating. Burial will be in Liberty Corners Cemeter, Buena Vista. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in his name.
Mr. Worden was born June 13, 1908, in the town of Buena Vista, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer & Bertha Worden. He attended Pleasant Valley School and farmed on the family homestead. On June 6, 1931, he was married to Lois Dakins, Buena Vista. She survives.
Mr. Worden began working as a truck driver for Wimme Sand and Gravel in 1955. He continued to work part-time after retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Buena Vista United Methodist Church and of the Epworth League of the church.
Survivors besides his wife include two daughters, Bonita Niemuth, and Mrs. Raymond (Cheryl) Hocking, both of Buena Vista; two sons, Larry, Bancroft, and Allen, Buena Vista; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, one sister and one grandchild.
