Source 3: Post-Standard, The (Newspaper) - January 20, 1988, Syracuse, New York Obituaries Minister's Funeral Sunday Afternoon Services for the Rev. Harland G. Worden, 47, of 4420 Wetzel Road, Liverpool, who died Friday at Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday in First Church of God, Liverpool. Burial will be in White Church Cemetery, Lisbon. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Maurer Funeral Home, 300 Second St., A native of Lyon Mountain, Mr. Worden lived in Liverpool five years. He was former pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, North Syracuse, and a founding pastor of First Church of God in Liverpool. His ministry also included churches in Canada, South Carolina and Illinois. Mr. Worden also taught seven years in Northern New York. He was an officer of the Western New York Church of God Ministerial Fellowship. He was a volunteer chaplain at Centerville Court, Birchwood and James Square nursing homes and Crouse Irving Memorial Hospital. Surviving are his wife, the former Linda Huckle, a son, David of Liverpool; 3 daughters Lisa Pyles of Rochester, Dorothy Dickson of Clay, and Terri Worden of Liverpool; his mother Dorothy Pray of Ogdensburg; five brothers Esbon and Roger both of Ogdensburg, Wayne of New York City, Elmer of Philadelphia, and Worth of Tupper Lake; five sisters Lois Schoen of Waddington, Joy Showen of Ogdensburg, Wanda Clouthier of Minoa, Jewel Backus of Central Square, and Polly Lauffler of Schenectady; a grandson and several nieces and nephews.
