Peggy was born January 5, 1938, in Ramona, OK, to John and Vera Lee Workman. She was a bank teller for many years and also helped along side her husband, Alvin, in ranch work. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving Peggy Powell is her husband, Alvin Powell; her son, Tony Powell and wife, Linda of Austin, TX; her daughter, Kathy McCarty and husband, Rick of Borger, TX; sister, Sue and brothers, Ronnie and Jackie; 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Services celebrating her life will be Wednesday morning beginning at 10:00 AM in the Dunn Memorial Chapel. Pallbearers will be Justin Powell, Tanner McCarty, Rick McCarty, Tony Egerton, Charles McKee, and David Morris. Interment will then follow in the Tucumcari Memorial Park Cemetery.
